Default Tailight Replacement

Today I got paid and am going to get a new set of tailights both are cracked, one badly. I have not really been seeing any of the Altezza type fancy tail lights any more. Was this a fad? Do they last? It would be much cheaper to go with the stockers. What do you think? You guys mostly running stock tail lights? LED is not an option. I have not seen a pair of those I like yet. Sure would appreciate some imput here.

Thanks.

Stock ones are good enough, who the hell looks at your taillights and goes " that truck is badass". but anyways its personal preference all i know is that the fancy ones are more money

I went through a ton of aftermarket tail lights before I finally decided they all just weren't doing it for me. So finally I just put the stocks back on, and bought some GTS smoke out tail light covers. I love them, very clean, and just what I've wanted. Just hope I don't get pulled over for them.

I purchased stock tail lights off eBay today. I went to O'Reily's and they were 37 and 38 each; 79 for the set at Autozone; 49 with shipping from ebay. Cross that off my list. Next up: exhaust from the manifolds back.

Purchased the stock tail lights on Saturday night, had them in my hands on Thurday. Actuall shipping was 18 so the guy made 7 bucks off me. I still saved 30 bucks. New bulbs were 10. All it took was 10 min and a Torx 20.

Packaging was great. Cardbord boxes and bubble wrap. Not buble packs like at O'Reily's. Qualtity is outstanding.Holes sealed with tape. Came with thick foam tapelike the originals.I did not know how grey the black trim of my 13 year tail light had gotten! Maker is Eagle Eyes. Only downside "Made it TAIWAN"[:@]

I have been looking for some different tail lights for a while now. I have seen several different types, LED and non-LED, and they all looked far to bling-bling for my taste. Well, within the past couple weeks, I've seen these suddenly pop up on eBay and I'm going to give them a try.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-01...em350016660532

They are LED, but not very many, and they are different, but not rice-ish. I'll post pics once I get them and install.

Since I'm new to the board, I'll also post pics of my pickup someday here soon...
