Default Aftermarket Seat Heater

Has anyone ever put in an aftermarket seat heater? I have been thinking about doing this,I came across this website: http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/dualseatdelc.html

The price doesn't look to bad.I have messed with car uphulstery before, so I'm not too woried about that. Just wondering if anyone else has done so, and which website/vendor you used...

Thanks,
Cartman

FYI you can get this done where I work for like 230 bucks I believe. We use katzkin heaters. We have used others and these are by far our favorite. It is very easy to do by yourself.

Hmm.. well in the future I plan on getting my seats reupholstered, maybe leather. Guys think it would be a good idiea to go ahead and throw some in there? Didnt really think aftermarket butt warmers would be such a great idiea.. but any opinions are welcome!

I'd do katzkin if you want to go leather. They are probably cheaper than a custom job. It's like 1200 bucks or so to get it done. If you are in cold weather I'd go with seat heaters. My monte had leather and it sucked in the winter.

I have researched brands, and sites. They all seem rather shadey, but aren't most of them? LOL
I have found http://www.heatedseatkits.com/but after googling them I found some bad reviews.

my VW Golf has cloth heated seats and I miss them!!! they were the 0-5 dial control. If you get some let me know how it went, maybe take pics and they might put it in the DIY section.

Yeah... I have ordered stuff from a few vendors that seemed shady, but it all worked out. I'm not too worried as long as I use a credit card to purchase stuff. They give you a lot of protection as opposed to debit cards, paypal and the like. Although, I'm a little hesitant because the BBB page list them as unsatisfactory...

I will definitely do a DIY writeup when I do this. Lots of pictures and good stuff. My girlfriend has heated seats in her car... and they are damn nice. That's pretty much the reason I want to add them to the truck.

I came across the link you mentioned above... and I tried to read their install directions. Wholy crap! They sucked! Referenced diagrams that were not in the instructions, looks like they were translated (poorly) from another language.

It might take me a week or two to try and settle on a vendor... but hopefully within a few weeks I'll have a new DIY article to post.

OK... well maybe I found some place that might be a little more reliable...

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...iew=sku&Ns=

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_119160_-1

I feel better ordering from either one of these guys... Cost a few bucks more, but it will be worth it to know I will get some customer service if needed.

Great find, the first link didn't work, but I can see the part number RPC-250-1802, also search for RPC-250-1550. The RPC-250-1550 has more heat settings, but not sure if its any less in quality.
