hey that is an awesome thread there about repairing the lights. I am going to have to do that instead of just buffing them. Thanks chet

Hey Chet. I pulled out my old headlights, gonna clean them and and sell them. I was just wondering, (dont know how much heat comes from the bulbs) but its the clear coat not effected by the heat?

im not sure i didnt write the thread and dont know enough to answer that but i would have to say they dont even come close to putting off enough heat to damage the clear coat you put on. Just checked the back of the Krylon clear i bought at walmart today and it says its fine up to 120* which im assuming the light dont get anywhere near that hot since they have the air hitting them.
