The truck is a 1997. I called MSD and Hughes. Between the two... I think we have it figured out...I ordered the part and will get it in a few days..we shall see.

had it, loved it, hated swapping out the accell cap & rotor and I ended up going back to the mopar cap & rotor and all was good.

you will be swapping them about every 20~25k miles though so be prepared.

you need to run the tach adapter from MSD.. i had the same problem on my 01.. runin the 6A and a B3 ... although my CEL didnt pop .. for me i got a hidden code.. the DTC would stay in my pcm but wouldnt nock my CEL.. anytime i would hook the hypertech up to it would say 1 DTC reported.. and it would be the 351 code.. i installed the tach adapter in the MSD system and it took care of that problem

thats the write up i did on my 6A install.. although i came across the tach adapter after i wrote it up...
