Looks good man. I would probably get a setup like that, but mine already had a K&N intake when I got it. That is a very nice look though.

i noticed a power loss on my truck when i did mine, well i lost alot of low end power, and gained some highend power with it. and seeing as my truck is used for towing i just couldent accept the low end power loss so i took it off and put my stock one back on.

Hmm...Damn. And that's exactly what I am looking for, to get some low end torque back that I lost with the longtube headers. I do like the Volant a lot. I was going to get the K&N, but everyone here seems to be opposed to that, so Volant looks to be the only real contender either because nobody has it, or because it's actually a nice product. I'm not crazy about AEM's brute force, they seem to be more of a car company, hell had one on my neon and was great, but I don't need any car mixed in with my truck. So guess Volant and Fastman combo is probably what I am going to do, and hopefully even the torque back out to maximize the headers and the complete exhaust..

I didn't have any drop in low end. I don't believe many others have either.

I was going to look around for some black flex tube to route the RAM intake on the front of the volant to the small space next to the radiator.
I recall that some Pool shops have the smooth tubing up to 3". not sure if thats going to be enough though. I am sure as hell not spending $149 for the actual volant ram air kit. thats nuts. I think these cold air unit prices is nuts to begin with. That stylin trucks site has it at some clearance price right now, roughly $30 less than other sites I found.
I don't have the coin for it now though... [&o]

lol me neither man...me neither. But I've always had a liking of the volant, I just didn't like how it was so exspensive. I like how it has the air scoop option on it, can't complain about getting air from another area. It'll probaby be till later February before I can afford that intake kit with the scoop. I kind of like having everything all uniform so I'll have to find a way to get that scoop cheaper, because I agree...that scoop is WAY overpriced..should only be about $50 tops

Its sickness, yes.
I want a Volant intake, gibson exhaust, and 4 new tires.
Not to mention its time to change the timing chain/gears, water pump, crank shaft seal, radiator hoses, and O2 sensors.

I was able to get the air box mounting gasket recently... LOL that was only $1.80 or something like that. The wife never got mad at that, but she will when I present her with the costs of doing all that stuff...
OH, forgot to mention the Solid Steel Industries Trackbar Kit... yikes... she will flip more than Mary Lou Retton ever did in 1984.\

then after all that, then what? What more would i do... oh right, heated seat kits for my Birthday!!!
