very nice intake.. cleans up the engine bay alot and just makes it look so much better.. very nice.

I have the same air cleaner on my truck. Does your air breather on the valve cover clap on where the hose went to the air hat. Mines pushes in to the gromet in the cover.

 

My valve cover vent tube went to the old hat on the drivers side, so I just clamped a stand alone filter onto the 90 degree bend coming right out of the valve cover.

 

looks awesome man.. i love the look .. glad i put one aswell.. have you notice you can hear the "sucking" sound alot better now? i noticed that when i put mine on

i threw a traditional breather on my vavlecover.. lookin more like a race motor then a damn DD

 

Hey man, I really want to get an intake, but still am not set what to get. Did you feel an increase in horsepower with this? And is it loud? I want to make sure the intake is loud because I just love a throaty sounding intake.

 

there's a looooong thread called K&N FIPK no more that will tell you all you need to know about that setup.

 

I like the Volant kit, but think the RAM Air (add-on) for $149 additional is a tad nutty in price.

There is a whistle/sucking sound most of the time. With the radio on I can't even hear it. I did this mod the same time as super 44 so togeather I think they gave some power and throttle response. I think there is still something wrong though with my truck. I am still getting like 8mpg in town and with a gutted cat. I don't think it has got any better and I can't afford much right now so idk if it's o2 sensor, plugs and wires, or what??? I would say this intake is louder than any other type you could get.
