Default 2500 leaf springs on a 1500

Someone told me that I could get 3 inches of lift if I installed leaf springs from a 2500 on my 1500. I currently have blocks as my rear lift and I don't like them because they tend to shift. WHat do you guys think? Or let me know what other parts are available for 300 dollars or less.

You could go that route.. i think the 1500 spring is 2.5" wide and on the 2500 is 3" wide gotta cut the shackles to make em fit .. or you can do a shackle flip or the cheapest of all is to do a AAL ..

Thanks for the info
It shouldn't be hard to make the shackles fit. I won't be able to cut them though since i don't have the tools. But I wonder if it would still give me a 3 inch lift.

Thanks.

...probably not....i wouldn'treally go through the trouble since they are 3 inches....they aren't probably going to give you anymore lift then your regular springs....i know 2500's have a 4.5 inch block....if you want to lift the rear get a 3 inch aal and it will also stiffen up your rear end as well

i just did this;. not the 2500 leafs. but i just got an AAL and new front coils. all around for about 200$ after shipping. the springs i picked up off one of the guys on here who was selling it. i bought new shocks which were about 300$ but i got the Bilstein 5100 for a 2in lift. apparantly stock height shocks for upto a two lift but i wanted the higher stiffer ride. i really like the way it rides! i need to get some pics of my truck on here. but if you look around you can find a cheap two in lift. i got the AAL from autoanything.com i think 80$ and the coil springs for 100$ shipped slightly used. just look around.

I've got 2500 on the front and back of my 1500.
(Put them on there for plowing). it gave me about
a 2-1/2" lift. Also got a bigger tire and that gave me
a total of 3". .. Side-note; If I tow or, if I put the plow
on now, there is little or no sag in the front or back with
these springs.
