my 2001 ram 4x4 41,000 miles(it sat for a few years)is having a strange problem...it runs and drives great, then all of a sudden it will start to choke out, misfire and loose power. But it will pass after about 5 minutes, and run fine like nothing happened. I thought it might be water or bad fuel in the tank, so i bought some Heet and have been running 92 octane for a couple weeks now. And no change. Any ideas? o2 sensor, idle speed control, fuel filter or pump? Does a 01 have a (ISC) idle speed control?
There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail at the back on the drivers side put you a fuel press. guage on that and start her up 40psi is what it should be at I believe
you have to go ask a mechanic to borrow a pressure guage for that and i love my flowmaster, get the duel out haha go to youtube and check out a super 44 on a dodge ram they are nice
