Default Aftermarket Headlights?

Anyone have aftermarket headlights?
I think the stock ones are getting dull and not so bright...
I have seen some in magazines and on the web. Just hate to spend $$ and have them look/work like crap. I don't like the halo /projector style(no offense if you have them)with the odd 5 led lights that do nothing. I do like the almost stock looking clear one peices. If you have aftermarket ones that work better and are fairly cheap, do you mind snapping a couple of pics of them with the lights on and off. I find myself driving with th high beams on all the time.

Those are the lights I installed on my pickup. Check out the links below for pics. These are a little old, I will take new photos tomorrow or Monday, as I have installed fog lights since these were taken.

I like them a lot. They put more light out (especially in combination with high end aftermarket bulbs) and give the pickup a nice, refreshed look. I also recommend fog lights to anyone who doesn't have them... had no idea what I was missing until I installed those.

Nice, those look great. They work any better? Use the same wiring harness and bulb housing?

I have tried three replacement headlights on my passenger side of a 1995 Ram and left the driver's side bulb stock for comparison...and also because I did not want glare from the experimental bulb to affect on-coming drivers.

I have not found that any of the Silverstar or other bulbs improved the night illumination enough to be really noticeable but there is a color difference you can see.

Consumer's Reports magazine did a comparison several months ago and found no advantage to any of the replacement headlights in passenger cars....Hondas and GM cars were used if I remember right.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind.
I am thinking that since the lenses has the defusers and its started to get that yellowish dull look to it, something new would help.

They use the same wiring harness, but not the same housing.

You remove the headlight unit, the sidemarker, and then you remove the plastic housing piece that they fit into. This guy is a truly a one-piece headlight (very similar to how the 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee headlights are); he is his own housing, headlight, and sidemarker. He bolts right into the metal frame exactly how the original plastic housing does.

Yeah, you can get them anywhere from around $85 to $95 on eBay, but all of the sellers charge pretty high S&H, usually around $35-$45. I used the same box these came in for selling my original truck speakers on eBay; they weigh more and the shipping for normal UPS Ground was only $15, so they are making quite a bit of money from that.

They also make the black ones if you dislike the shiny chrome and want a darker, evil look.

Not sure who makes the clear corners. I had them on my ol' 1995 Dakota (obviously not the same pieces, but possibly could have been the same manufacturer) and never looked.

Not stealing, you are keeping it alive.

Keep looking on eBay, I have seen the all clear/chrome without the yellow sidmarkers.
When I am done playing playdoh with my 3yr old, I will look. I was on there last night... bummed, I wasn't paying attention and could have gotten 4 nearly new (2000miles used) tires for the truck. the winner got if for $101.00. Dammit!!
