auto body and fender man out there
I have a rust spot developing @ the bottom of my passenger door. It didn't look bad until a friend poked his finger through there. I was wondering how much would I expect to pay to have a body shop fix it????
on the outside of the door?, cut the spot out and weld a patch in there grind her down . body fill it to make it flush and spray some paint on there. they will most likely want to paint the whole door cuz of trying to match it and blend it. if u have two tone., it will be only half the door that needs to be paint but you get it. im pretty good with self body work so i can get away with rattle can paint and clear coat. as for price mabye 100-200? depends what they have to do/.
They would do the say, cut the rust spot out and weld a new one in. total time would be around 4 hours for work and paint, but because of having to remove the door and molding and whatnot, by the time you add the piece of metal, wire used, and they paint with labor, your looking at least $500. A 1"x2" area on my bed needs to be fixed where a shovel impacted the bed while driving home one night. Total cost is $700.
