i was wondering, considering the paint is sort of fading, if i took the body modelings off would the paint under them be darker than the rest of the truck. and if so is there anything i can do about it?

 

Yes it would probably be darker if its not rusty, All body moldings do is hold moisture and road debri

 

just my opinion.

the vehicle color seems tomake a big difference on what you will be left with. i did it on a black truck with not so good results, but on my ram now (rear logos) you cant even notice.

count on doing some buffing, polishing, and blending
