Doesn't your scoop sit on that tray ontop of your throttle body indy (The one in your avatar)? Or did you actually fiberglasss it to your hood?

Both . The way my setup works is the scoop is bolted to the hood (its going to get fiberglassed smooth onto the hood right before I get the truck painted). I cut a hole in the rear of the hood right above the throttle body for the air to get through, and then there is a tray that sits on the throttle body. The tray has foam that seals it to the hood when it closes.

I would have to go with the shaker. Probably because I have it on my truck. I have had more comments on that than anything else I have done to it. First thing they always ask is "Is it real?" or "does it work?" All I have to do is start my truck and they can hear all that air being sucked and see it moving through the hood. If you need pics on what it looks like under the hood let me know. Its a little bit more complicated that what people think. It is 4 seperate pieces of fiberglass. Also you mentioned making your "shaker" a little bigger. Its alot bigger that in looks in the pics. I thought the same way you did until I bought it. Anyways good luck with your decision.

Dtruck96, I'd be interested in some pics and such as well. Also, does anyone know if they sell just the shaker scoop? That way I could just cut this hood around it.

Now that's nice man...

Do you have any trouble with mud or water getting sucked in there? What kind of a filter is in there between the scoop and the throttle body?
