That was exactly what I was looking for. The mechanic said it was very hard to get to because of the skid plate. I figured it was u joint like many others who commented, but I'm glad that you realized that indeed there are more parts about which I was asking.

Sounds like I'll just have a new front drive shaft put in. That gives me a ball park idea of how much I should spend.
