Sure buy alpine if you have the $$$ laying around. Here's a 7" dvd deck from alpine...instead of 289$ its on sale for $1,899.

I would buy an alpine too if I could afford to. I drive a V10 and can't pass a gas station. Maybe if I drove a honda I could have an expensive deck.....

TheInfinity's are the best but theydidnt have enoughlow for me and too much high[:@] ButI put Infinity 5 1/4 in the back of my truck and its a perfect combo. lolI didnt amp mine yet and when i do im gona go with an Alpine deck. For now im running a Pioneer 4900

Not sure who your asking, but for mine, yes I installed it myself. My truck already had an aftermarket Sony deck installed when I bought it, so the install kit was already there. The didn't use the same wire harness plug though, so i had to cut off the Sony plug, and install the Pioneer plug. All the wire colors were the same though, so it was pretty easy. I think that deck cost less then $150 if I remember correctly. Like I said, it is nothing fancy, but does what I want it to. I find car audio to be a lot like cell phones. No one makes one that does just the things you need, so you have to pay extra for a bunch of features you really don't want and will probably not use.

I haven't looked at stereos in a long time, so I didn't know those DVD players existed. Wow, now I can watch DVD's while I'm driving or drive while I watch DVD's! I hope nobody hits me.

I got that Jenson dvd radio on black friday for 249$ at circuit city. Its nice, clear picture and touchscreen controls.I bought the adapters and cover plate atcrutchfield. They give excellent instructions with the adapters so its not hard to install. You can disable the parking brake safety just by attaching the pink wire to the ground. Also enter in a code to get to the additional menu to disable software safety.

I know you already got a deck, but nobdy mentioned Panasonic. This is the one I have. I've had it for 2 years, 3 different vehicles, and still works like a charm. But I am looking to get a new one.
