Default Tired of ugly, faded plastic on Sport

I got some used mirrors and decided to paint them before I put them on. Aside from being broken my old mirrors were faded and chalky looking so I bought a can of Krylon Fusion gloss black for plastic ($5.99 from Auto Zone). I think they turned out GREAT and I plan to do my door handles and bumper caps later. I think this makes the all black Sport model look 100% better, I'll wash the truck and takemore pictures later.

I would have to agree a little to glossy but does look good. Mothers sells some stuff called back to black. I use it and like the way it turns out. The first time you apply it takes a couple rounds. After that it only takes a single coat.

+1 on the back to black. Good stuff to remove the oxidation from plastic.

It would of looked alot better if you sanded down that plastic to a really fine finish, then scuffed it up with like 400 grit then painted it, then after it dryed wet sanded it more and buffed it it could look just like the paint finish of the truck and wouldent have the spekely look that it has...

Just so you know for a next time, you can do just as good with regular spray paint on plastic... its bs about it not adhereing... if you know what your doing it will adhere perfect. If your going to spray paint somthing its almost always best to use the cheapest paint you can get... trust me, ive done some incredible work that even the top painter at a autobody could not tell was spray paint.

Glossy, but looks a lot better than when they were faded. Good job.
