Ive done it! 11mpg! I just never went above 2500 rpms. Im so happy now. lol It was mixed highway and city. My truck has 92000miles on it an i was wondering what you guys think i should do as far as maintance. I was thinking new cat and new o2 sensor? Why im at it new exhaust! I found a super 44 dual 2 1/4 on ebay for 200 bucks. Good Deal?

I love my truck just wish she did a tad better with mpg. lol But she made up for that loss whenI beat a QC hemi tonight. My whole truck length!

its not hard to beat a hemi.. congrats on the 11, i hit 14 mpg. and i ran against a CTD 5 speed had him off the line and thru the gears till he hit 5th gear and i hit the rev limiter got me by a half length... it was fun and the look on his face , priceless , so my pig is going in the right direction .

 

high five on the 11mpg....im jealous. You dont want to beat a hemi, your a gas sipper...come on now

 

Not to brag but I am so glad I am not getting 11. I will keep my 15.5 thanksI dont even come close to beating a hemi. But my truck has some torque issue.

 

I'm getting 13 in my 5.2L Ext Cab with 8 foot box on 31" Rubbers.

 

my truck is stock so will an exhaust and intake boost me up to around 14? Also does anyone know why my truck pings unless i put in 93? Im guessing the plenum. but im not loosing any oil? Also could it have been a programmer the guy before me used? i think so cause shes fast. lol

 

I am still shocked your stock truck beat a truck that has about 100 more HP's than you.

You must have something more.

Does it ping when you accelerate? Take your air cleaner off and look down through your TB. Use a good bright flashlight. if you see oil pooled up... your plenum is leaking. if it looks like the floor of a NYC taxi cab... its still good.

 

You beat a Hemi, thats amazing. You sure he wasn't burning tire the whole time you were racing. Cause I rode in a 06 Hemi 1500 and it would eat my truck and **** it out while it was pulling a trailer

 

okay, so I am not the only one to think the same thing. MAYBE he wasn't racing and was wondering why some guy was stuck in 1st gear revving his truck up. LOL...

hey, if it makes him love his truck more, can't knock it. I can out run a 1984 Dodge Rampage 2.2L "Mini-HEMI"
