you don't need a 10in wide wheel. a 8in wide wheel is just fine, you can continue to use your current tires, but if you decide to get a bigger tire, don't use coopers, i have read that they are too soft, which is why a 10in wide wheel is recommended when using them. When i first talked to some guys at NTB about lifting my truck and putting 33's on it, they wanted to sell me coopers and told me that a 10in wide rim is better for 33's. I decided to use Discount becase they seemed to know what they were talking about. later i did some research and found out that coopers are very soft and tend to fold under pressure. if you look, there are plenty of 35in tires that will fit on an 8in wide rim, you will notice though that none of them are coopers. stick with an 8in wide rim and eventually get some better tires and you will do just fine with a 3in lift.

yeah thanks for the replys guys, i think im just going to get the 3 inch suspension kit and put it on when it gets nice out (currently 14 degrees and feels like -2) and then when i can scrape up some money il get 16x8 rims.

edit: yeah my 265's fit perfect no rubbing at all, and yeah ima go with a different brand i think for my next tire, these were just so cheap and i didn't have enough money for decent bfg's at the time.

I don't know if anyone has said this or not...but I don't think you should lift her. Since she is a 2 wheel drive, and since she has them sweet stripes...I really think you could maximize on this and make it a cool little street truck. She's got the 5.9L, so she has a beasty engine, nobody would mess with that thing on the streets. Slap some really sharp looking rims on her, get some nice fresh headlights and tail lights, a nice loud exhaust system etc. etc. I don't know, just my opinion. I just think that if it's 2wd, and since it does have those racing stripes, it will look silly lifted with the stripes. But if you make it a street truck, nobody would think that looked stupid, they'd be like wow, that's one badass dodge right there. I don't know if you need the truck for work or not, or if the street truck idea isn't your scene, but it's definalty thought. The truck looks clean, has a ton of potentional. I think you can maximize what it is by letting it be it's true colors, it'd probably be a lot cheaper to make it a street truck too. Lifts are expensive, and then you'd still have to modify the engine if your into that. All you have to do here is put some nice low profile tires on it with some big cool looking wheels, and then dig into the engine and some dress-up accessories. Again, just my imagination here, but if you need it for work, and aren't into that, then I understand completely, all preferance really.
