help with acceleration please
I own a 1999 dodge ram 1500 and have am getting a cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and i have an exhaust cut out, does anyone know how to improve my acceleration on the take off bc with the big tires i have and the lift that i have it doesnt have that great of a take off. i also used a hypertech programmer III on it but it didnt really help with anything but changing the size of my tires and thats pretty much it. so if anyone can help with any tips on extra horse power, torque, or mainly acceleration i would really appreciate it. also i was wondering if putting a differential locker on the rear would help with the take off and because i am always going mudding so i was wondering if i got the locker for the off roading if it would help for the take off because it would make both wheels start spinning instead of just one. so please let me know
try the search function, youll be able to find a lot more info, alot faster than reading this. but id go with a fastman, flash, rockers or cam, injectors, and while your at it, set that TB spacer on your desk at home
what size lift and tires are you running. If you still have stock 3.55 gears thats your problem right there. If your running 33" tires you could go up to 410's or 4.56's with 35" tires.

+1 = I agree with the above statement.
I have not changed gears in my pickup, so I can't say what it would cost or how much time would be involved, but I do know it would help acceleration. I also know it is a bit expensive, but I'll let someone here who has done it before answer your question.
