231 synchronizer hub...anyone know?
Alright, many of you know that I am in the process of rebuilding my t-case. I split the case yesterday and found the problem...
When I opened up the case there were large amounts of shavings in the bottom as well as a spring/snap ring that I have since identified as having come from the synchronizer assembly.
I have solved all the other problems (as far as I see) except the reassembly of this synchro. Does anyone know where this spring goes? I know it somehow is meant to hold some pad looking things in place, but there are two of these springs and three pads and I just don't know.
I am at class right now, so pictures aren't possible, but I will take some tonight when I get home and hopefully let you all see what I am talking about.

rabbler, thanks so much. The question I have now though is that I have two springs and three blockers (#8). Do I stack the springs on top of each other and then leave the third blocker to fend for itself or what?
Here's the pics I have:
This is what I found in the bottom of my case (yeah, the upper right is the magnet) -->

Next is the my synchro assembly (missing the blockers and springs)-->

No 1 spring goes on each side of the synchro hub (#8)
You will have to press that hub (#8) off the shaft again.
You should be able to position that spring so it touches all 3 blockers.
Are you replacing the syncro (#7 shiny brass thing)too?

No. I'm not replacing anything. The parts are all still good, but the pads on the shift forks had all busted apart. I believe that gave everything enough play that it allowed the hub to seperate like it did. After looking at it closer, I ended up putting those springs on either side just because that looked about right. I haven't put the snap ring back on yet though, just in case I was wrong. I guess I would be okay to do so now, eh?
I put the tabs from each of the springs in different blockers though, I'm assuming that's how it's suppose to go?
