You'll deffinetly get some money from the fire dept. for that. That's rediculous you got a bunch of axe happy volunteer ***** wrecking your truck like that. I would have just went in your house and shut the water to the hose off I was you. I woulnd't worry about the expense of the lawyer because a smart one makes sure they make enough to cover their own fee plus the fire dept. will have to pay for court costs.

Otherwise I know you won't have a problem rebuilding it. Keep a fire extinguisher handy from now on. Not for your truck, but just so if the fire dept come again you can spray them all down. Why the hell did they even touch your house? You deffinetly need to have them pay for that. I know around here if anything ever caught on fire everyone is ****ed hard and that's that cause the volunteer fire fighters are a bunch of 17-20 year old assholewho don't have jobs and didn'tdo anything after highschool and they all hang out down at the fire house likea jocks club. Fortunatly in the town over the volunteerfire dept (who always getscalled to the sceen when ours does because all these kids are gonna do is get themselves burned up) ismostly a bunch of older responsible guys who are trained EMTs as well.I would think they'd havemore strict standards for volunteers considering the requirements to be a realfire fighter in the city. Now those guysare your regular real life heros.
damn man.. not sure what to think after that.. Im on volunteer.. and personally i think most volunteer are better than the paid depts.. at least around here.. the paid depts (not all) seem to drag their feet some more.. there ARE alot of things that could have been done differently.. but a man only knows what they are taught .. whether its 17 yrs old.. or 40 years old.. i have been volunteering for 11 years.. learned alot.. but to clasify them all as '*****' i feel is a little misguided.. we all in some way work hard at what we believe is best.. i dont think i would have torn the truck apart.. but i cant say what they thought.. if they thought it was burning.. then yea.. maybe.. hard to just spray the truck down if the fire is UNDER the dash.. and they cant get to it.. but it looked like it was mostly contained to under the hood.. theres alot that could have went wrong.. and alot that could have been alot worse.. but yea.. it could have went better too.. either way.. anyone who puts their life on the line.. to help out someone else to this extent.. whether it be putting out fires.. or protecting others.. is a hero.. they work their asses off to do it in a professional way .. they have too.. or yes.. they get sued.. as far as the dude that said he would make it a point to let the house burn.. get bent buddy.. comments like that are a disgrace to the profession.. and i would LOVE to see how your 'department' is run..

Well just by saying the things that I highlighted I can tell you're someone who should be fighting fires. Unlike Sinister, or the asshats that tore Andy's truck apart when he already had the fire out BEFORE the got there. You said yourself youd don't think you would have torn the truck apart. Well that right there is what he's pissed about And yeah weither you're 17 or 40 does make a difference. Expereince makes all the difference in the world. And kids are impulsive. They probably just axed his truck because they figured they could get away with it by saying that it's part of the job. If they were proffessional they would have hit it with the infared scope to see if anything was still cooking underneath.

As for you Sinister, I don't really care that you're a terrorist sympathizer, I just think it's rediculous that half the **** you ever post is meant to antagonize people, or it's stupid and fairly immature like "oh, well i'd let your house burn down if you sued my fire depatment" and "oh I wish I was standing on a plane with a bomb on 9/11"

You know you're being an *******, so expect people to call you an *******.

Anyways I'm sorry I steered your thread off topic Andy. Hopefully the next thing on the list to be covered is your rebuild. Did you end up with Bouncer's truck?

I love how suddenly all the tough guys on the forum here are war vets. If you actuallly believed that people cant be passionate about a war unless they have foughten in one, then I guess we should all stop voting for president. You do know most of our command in chiefs have not fought in war before, right?? It's a retarded and dumb notion to say that you cannot be passionate about this war unless you have fought or are going to fight. It's what I expect from stubborn people though, they just get mad when somebody has something rational and good to say about the war...

either way.. anyone who puts their life on the line.. to help out someone else to this extent.. whether it be putting out fires.. or protecting others.. is a hero..
except when they are a vilian. Anyone that has been in the game for quite a few years diserves respect. The young bucks that havent gotten their feet wet and are just there for the boys club arent heros in my book. Sad to say this discussion started because of one of the older guys in the dept.
