I dont suppose youd trade that on a "not so clean" indy would you? lol.

I would sue the fire department if you had control of the blaze be forehand. I am sure they are liable for some of the damage. The fire itself didn't seem to be all that bad, it looked worse because of your hood. The dash kills it for me. I would have been in jail. I couldn't have stood by for that. "get up, get, get down... 911 is a joke, in your town" --Flava Flave
lol.
I was almost too. The cop came over to me and said am i going to have to restrain you, and i said...yea probably...so he made me go sit in a chair and kept hastleing me untill i started walking arround again.

I am so sorry for your loss!! I don't know why they had to destroy the dash, but if anyone could bring this truck back it would be you. Don't make toohasty a decision. All you really need are parts!!

I loved your truck, and so did everyone else on this forum. The things you did to it helped ALL of us, and inspired us too. Even my son thinks that truck is awesome. I hope you decide to bring it back and call it Phoenix. (the bird that springs from ashes to be even better than before)
BEAUTIFUL! I appriciate it man. I brought the truck back from the grave once, ill do it again.
(When I bought it they were about to junk it)

You'll deffinetly get some money from the fire dept. for that. That's rediculous you got a bunch of axe happy volunteer ***** wrecking your truck like that. I would have just went in your house and shut the water to the hose off I was you. I woulnd't worry about the expense of the lawyer because a smart one makes sure they make enough to cover their own fee plus the fire dept. will have to pay for court costs.

Otherwise I know you won't have a problem rebuilding it. Keep a fire extinguisher handy from now on. Not for your truck, but just so if the fire dept come again you can spray them all down. Why the hell did they even touch your house? You deffinetly need to have them pay for that. I know around here if anything ever caught on fire everyone is ****ed hard and that's that cause the volunteer fire fighters are a bunch of 17-20 year old assholewho don't have jobs and didn'tdo anything after highschool and they all hang out down at the fire house likea jocks club. Fortunatly in the town over the volunteerfire dept (who always getscalled to the sceen when ours does because all these kids are gonna do is get themselves burned up) ismostly a bunch of older responsible guys who are trained EMTs as well.I would think they'd havemore strict standards for volunteers considering the requirements to be a realfire fighter in the city. Now those guysare your regular real life heros.
One of my law professors has 34 years under his belt as an atorney, Im going to give him a ring a ding in a min and talk to him about it. Hes a beast in the courtroom.

Unfortunately it may be a little harder to bring infront of the court because the station that showed up was a paid staff rather than volunteers. We'll see what we can do.

Just stinks to have and watch some one cause even more damage to your baby. I know to them it was some truck, but when you put hundreds of hours into a truck, it is so much more than a mode of transportation. To them it was just a truck, you may not even have insurance to cover all they did. I know mine wouldn't; two years later I am still fighting them for money, but I'm in "good hands". yeah right.

I could understand tearing the truck up to save a life, but where was the logic? I am mad at your fire department and I don't even know where that is. Hey at least you have something to do now.

Man that is one bad *** truck....bring her back from the grave. All you need is time, $, parts, and maybe some help from your buddies.....should have her back on the road in no time! When you're finished get a phoenix painted on the tailgate....suppose to be good luck.

Love your idea about the Phoenix. I think anybody that has ever had a truck fire should have opne painted on. We could be some sort of sub-group in the forum.

OUCH! I'm glad you came through ok. Hopefully everything comes out o.k. Dude, if you bring that truck back from the grave maybe I should quit worrying about stuff breaking and just keep my Ram.

You could be an inspiration to us all, man!

Sorry for your loss.

My father's previous 98 1500 caught fire in the driveway right next to the house, the entire interior was engulfed in flames, along with the bed. Everything in the truck burned, all of his tools, his M-1, 200 30cal rounds he had in the back seat that were shooting everywhere, the 5 gallon gas can he had in the back exploded, the air bags exploded, the alarm was going off, it was horrible. The whole time he was on the ground next to it spraying water on the house so it did not catch fire, by the time the fire department arrived, the fire had burned its self out along with the help of a volunteer fire fighter that happened to be driving by, saw the smoke, jumped out of his truck, moved my mom's van away from the truck, then got the neighbors house and started spraying the fire. I remember very well watching the DODGE on the tailgate peeling off [X(]
