Default Burglar Proof!!

Well come to find out tonight that dodges are damn near burglar proof unless you break a window! I locked my keys inside with it RUNNING for 2.5 hours and wasted some very expensive gasoline I tried to get in thru the sliding back window but thats impossible cause they lock together like tongue and groove boards and i tried the old school metal coat hangar trick down thru the window but that didnt work well lastly call the "50" so they came out and slim jimmed it in like 20 seconds i really need one of them tools!

Locked my keys in mine at a grocery store in Milwaukee. the only other keys were at my parents house in kenosha, about 45 minutes away. and i wasn't about to have them drive up my dad would be slightly peeved. so i Went and got the security guard, who quickly grabbed the hanger he had handy. (i guess it happens a lot) after about five minutes of prying the door open a little and trying to hook the lock tab thingy, or push the lock button up. he slid the hanger down next to the glass. and had it open in probably 8 seconds. during the process he said, and i'll quote it. "with all the damn cars i've stolen in my life you'd think i'd be able to get into this one" which was a good thing to hear from a security officer at a store 4 blocks from my apartment [:@]

i carry an extra key in my wallet now.

I have a flat key I carry in my billfold. Can't tell you how many times I have used it. I think my hand hits the electric switch on the way out.

Actually a 2nd gen ram is really easy to get into IF you know how.
Now this isn't something I would do to my own truck as it causes some body damage but with a screw driver I could get into it in under 10 seconds and probably steal it in less than a minute.
About the same for a Caravan and a Jeep GC too
It's pretty sad how easy actually...

Maybe they changed the back window since 96 but I popped my knife right through that thing and knocked the lock out on about 3 seconds the only time I ever locked my keys in.

Other wise all you have to do is take the antenna off and use a screw driver to pry the door open just enough to slip the antenna through the seal and either hit the automatic lock switch or push the manual switch up which is a little bit trickier.

Thanks for the advise I have it all figured out. The screwdriver goes in the door frame to pry it open some, thus causing the body damage...

then...actually idk i guess i don't have it all figured out. but don't tell anyone i wanna keep my truck

Exactly! Sorry not giving any more details

I've had attempted theft 8 times on my truck. The only reason It's still mine is the hidden starter kill switch!
