Hey wsup everyone I'm pretty much a noob on my truck(1999 1500 4x4) but ever since this started to happening its been getting really annoying...

Well 1st
When the truck is in park then I put it in Drive as soon as I press the gas the truck dies on me! [:@]
(Well I suspect a Bad ground)

Also my truck is a 4x4 but I hardly use it, does this take effect?
2nd question.

When putting it in drive, It seems like it on neurtal and doesn't move at all.
(my guess is something with my transmision.)

And last question

Is there a write up on changing a Heating core for the heater???

Thanks in advace.

Answer for number two-start it in neutral and let it run for a minute or so and it should be OK. There is a write up on the heater core , do a search.

I also have a 99 4x4 and mine does the same thing as question number two. I just figured the column shifter isn't perfectly lined up since it will go into drive by almost shifting to 2. Or fully shifting to two and then back to D.

Question Two... The Transfer case has moving gears to keep everything lubed. But jus for tities and beer pull that lever every so often to make sure is well lubed.

Question Three... My lever show nuetrel but thats where drive engages. My handy stealership says the needle has a tendency to work its way out of wack. You can adjust it but its a bitch. I know this cause I did it and two weeks later it was back to the way it was.
