hiss from heater and problems after water pump change
My truck, 1999 small v8, was running great 145000 miles.
Then I noticed my water pump leaking. I took it in had them put a new pumb, hoses, thermostat, and some gasket (860 bucks)
Now i notice a hiss when i start my truck, it stops after about ten minutes. My radiator now has a small leak and the heater does not get hot like it used too and there is a buch of pinging and tinging from the motor after i turn if off.
anyone know what to do?
I have brought it back three times but they said the thermostat is fine and the pump is fine and that the heater blows 125 degrees.

You have to bring it back to the shop. I know you come here for answers and there are things you can do to check it out here and there. The fact is you paid someone alot of money to fix it for you. If you have real problems like you described then you need to bring it back to that shop and tell them.
The only thing I would try before bringing it back, is to "Burp" the system. All you have to do is run the truck for a little bit with the radiator cap off. This will clear out any air in the lines.
Are you sure there is a leak in the radiator and not at a hose or other fitting? It is possible they just didn't put something on right. Bottom line if you pay someone to do something, don't go behind them and fix it, put the fire to their heels and have them fix it.
Other than that, follow the great DIY and a do it yourself next time and save $750.
