where can i get the best price on throttle bodies
The 1 and only ..THE FASTMAN TB www.thefastman.com
If you have a dremmel, and some time and patience, you could do it to your own. Your stock TB is already 50mm on the top. It tapers off as it goes down, so you want to bore it out so it's 50mm the whole way through. Then take a grinder and grind the top of the Throttle body till it's a flat surface. I'm not sure if you'll need to new blades for the throttle body or not.
If you do decide to go with Dan I know nobody on this forum has had a bad experience with his products.

Go with a Fastman throttle body. His are electronically machined right in his own shop and built with very close tolerances. Not just the throttle body is machined, but new throttle plates and the throttle plate control bar. You'd never be able to make one with a dremel even close to the quality of one of his. Besides that, for $225 it's worth not to have the aggravation and hours of work manually modifying one just to have to buy one pre-built already.
And by the way, if you attempt to mod your own and it doesn't come out right, I don't believe Dan will take it in as a core swap so you're out even more money that the $225 price.

For the price he charges and the quality you get from his top notch attention to detail, go with the Fastman!!!
I would'nt even try to do it myself with a dremel for what you get from him. If I had the machine equipment that he has and the new butterflies, I might consider doing it myself, but that would be the only way. If you don't care about getting the most from the TB and you just want to modify your own, you could dremel the barriers around the openings to allow a smoother flow of air into it, but I don't believe you'll get the full effect that you would with the Fastman. Using the Dremel tool on the barriers is of course free if you already have the tool and bits for it. If you have the money and want the most out of the TB, go with the Fastman. He is very good about answering questions and will give you honest answers. He is on my reocommended list for sure!
