I love my Trxus MTs. I've never run the Pro Comp MTs but I've seen them on other vehicles and they always seemed to wear funny. I've heard a lot of good things about the Toyo MT and then there's the BFG MT.
I got no complaints about the Trxus MTs. They wear pretty good too. They have pretty good cleaning abilities.

Interco just put out a new tire "SSM16" I think it's called, if you want to check it out. I know they came in the 285/75/16 size. Looked sort of like a bogger with some center treads in it. It was radial too so it should last awhile.
I really like the look of those. If they last as long as the BFG MT's I'd consider giving them a try as they look sweet.

any idea how long the Maxxis Bighorns will last?
I've been told at least 40,000 mi from the dealer and a lot of guys on this forum who have run the bighorns. Rotating and proper balancingis the key to getting the most miles out of these MT's.

I've got a little over 1000 miles so far on my bighorns and can barely see any wear whatsoever. I researchedtires for a good 3-4 months, and for the price these can't be beat. Most tire shops wanted at least $1,100 for BFG MT and Toyo MT's in my size of 295/305 70/17's. I couldn't justify that on my budget. I had the bighorns installed after I got themfor $80.00 for instal and balancing, so spent about $700 total.

Good luck in your decision.

I'm leary of trying them till I hear some reviews. The only thing about that tire that really bothers me is that they make them for 22 and 24 inch wheels. So if they want black people to put them on their SUVs I'm not sure how good they'll actually be for offroad. The don't look like they should have a problem cleaning though...

hi i just wanted to show everyone how killer these tires are, they cost 120 dollars a piece, mount on stock wheels, pull like a swamper, and this pic is with about 10,000 miles on them, they wore maybe 1/8 of an inch or so. im not sure if the pics are working, if not i will put them in my profile

They're a little bit skinny for my taste, but the do look like they'd get the job done. I take it they're not very sticky though to get that kind of milage? Not sure I dig the solid center tread either. But $120 a piece you say? can't beat that...

How well do they clean?
How do they do on rocks?

as far as the compound, i love the way these tires are designed, the outside directional part is very soft, great for mud and sand(probably would tear in rocks). But the center is very hard, good for the road. As far as cleaning, theyclean pretty well in mud, but not so much in sticky clay, like i have around here, but we around here have discovered that if they get full of gumbo, you can spin them about 20mph and the gumbo will fly off, so they clean out very well for me
