Default Mud Terrain Tires

I have decided to go with 285/75/16's and I think I want to get Pro Comp Mud terrains...Does anyone have any info about them or suggestions about another good Mud terrain tire? I want a good tire, but I dont want to spend too much...

i have power king premium traction, no one has ever heard of them but as for a mud tire, they are awesome. They only make 2 sizes, one is a 31" for stock trucks, the other is a 36x10.50, written as a 9.00x16. These tires are bias ply and are very loud, but I have put nearly 10,000 miles on mine with minimal wear. Probably be able to get another 30-40,000 miles. THE BEST PART I ONLY PAID 120 DOLLARS A TIRE MOUNTED AND BALANCED. Look them up online, they are a directional tire that looks like a tractor tire.

PS and believe me, they will go anywhere that a swamper goes. Here where I live a tall skinny tire works best, because it will sink to the bottom of the mud.

When selecting a tire you must consider 3 things.
Size, bigger is better, but only to a certain extent, 40's on a half ton would break down more then it runs, but if you know what your doing I've seen people with 44 swampers on a daily driver, as well as a daily mudder.

Money, the more money you spend generally that longer the tire will last, and the smoother it will ride

Conditions, mud vs sand vs street. This one is most important! Take your time in deciding and good luck

Go with, DAYTON TIMBERLINE M/T's, they are a very good tire. They dig like a tractor tire and they ride down the roadlike an all-terrain.

I had a set of 285/75/16DTM and put like 1000 miles on them, I sold them because my truck was a dog with them on. But when i had them on my truck would go anywhere

3.55 and 33's suck if you live in an area with hills, especially on the highway

Can't comment on Pro Comp's as I haven't run them before, but I really like the Maxxis Bighorn MT's. They have an agressive tread andrun excellentin mud. Price is great too. Check out e-bay seller Mac's Tirebin, they have 285/75/16's for around $600 shipped. I got mine from them in less than 3 days.

Interco just put out a new tire "SSM16" I think it's called, if you want to check it out. I know they came in the 285/75/16 size. Looked sort of like a bogger with some center treads in it. It was radial too so it should last awhile.

I love my Trxus MTs. I've never run the Pro Comp MTs but I've seen them on other vehicles and they always seemed to wear funny. I've heard a lot of good things about the Toyo MT and then there's the BFG MT.
