As a law enforcement officer, I would have been extremely grateful for you pulling me out. I have had my buddies come rescue me a time or two. As far as the ticket, call the prosecuting attorney and tell him that you just tried to help him out--but stay cool--if you get mad at him, it won't do any good. This guy sounds like a piece of work--to bad cops like that give the rest of us a bad name.

Early one morning during summer of last year I got pulled over while pulling my boat to the lake. The cop was really nice about it and he told me he pulled me over because one of the boat trailer lights was out. He thought it might be the wiring harness or something like that so he helped me mess with it for about 5 minutes right there on the side of the road. It turns out that it was the bulb. He told me where to go get one that early in the morning and let me go as if we had been best friends for decades.
It is a shame that this was the only positive experience I've had with a cop. I'm talking about ALL experiences too. When I've been pulled over, been assaulted, had property stolen or broken into, etc. they have always acted as if I did something wrong. You know, as if I should not have been speeding (understandable), should not have been at the grocery store where I COULD be assaulted, should not have owned property that could be stolen or vandalized, etc.
I don't know, I guess I despise cops because right or wrong, legal or illegal, their job and purpose is to interfere and mess with peoples' lives.
