pulling the tranny, major PITA. you cant even see the damn bolts that hold it to the motor

U-joints, PITA, my axle seal started to leak after I replaced them

Tune up, Major PITA, Barely see the dist cap, let alone put the wires on the right post.

So, what im getting too is that almost everything is a PITA,

THe shocks are real easy to change, the nut have tabs on them so you dont have to hold them when taking the bolt out with an impact

I just seem to have them snap off a lot.

I got towed and the next day my tire flew off and killed my rear end. I of course had to replace all the lugs. Then I threw a junk yard rear end in. (there are a ton of gen 2 dodges in the junk yards here after Katrina). Then I had to order a new wheel. None of which is dodges fault but after that I have had nothing but problems before then never an issue.

Tune ups are a pain on this truck luckly I have my engine down to the block and its not so bad.

Also all the stupid clips like the ones on the tail light that I broke (causing me to get pulled over twice when the tape gave) and the one on the starter which I just stopped on. I couldn't get at it with greasy hands.

For me def. the header bolts. Back bolts are so freakin far back in the engine bay, hard to see to begin with then the damn brake fluid reservoir is so close its a PITA to get a socket with extention on, and the extention must be on cuz long sockets are just a hair to short to get around the headers. i feel better

they just stopped, and i ended up having to snap them off..

and the ****ty kragen replacements are starting to rust so i need to go get more OEM ones.

Here's another one for a drain plug in the transmission pan. They put one in the oil pan, so why not in the tranny pan? I guess they thought the transmission would just be perfect and never need to be adjusted or anything. Oh well...

I'll up us one on the transmission filter bit here...why couldn't they:
a.) Put in a drain plug,
b.) Design the transmission with a screw-on filter (identical to a motor oil filter), and...
c.) Put the band adjusters someplace reasonable?

Also, WTH is up with the transfer case fill and drain plugs?!? They might not be Dodge design, but why did they come up with such an oddball plug for the transfer case?!?

And also, why are the crossmembers for mounting the skidplate under the transfer case so weak?

Ok, I'm done ranting.

(EDIT: I'm not done. I remembered something else.)

And now, for the most irksome thing of all. This happened to me on both the '99 that I had, and the '98 that I now have.

WHY DO THE LATCHES FOR THE INTERNAL HANDLES ON THE REAR QUAD CAB DOORS BREAK SO EASILY?!?

Ah, much better.

Just thought of another one...

Why oh why couldn't they have spent just a few dollars more on a better quality plastic for the dash?
