Default Brake light???

I was just wondering if anyone else has a problem with the emergency brake light staying on..and the abs light to. My truck did this last winter to. I start it up, and those lights come on and stay on for quite a while. They'll shut off about 2 hours later, when the truck is nice and warm. It's just got me boggles, mainly because I don't set my parking break at night. I leave the truck in 1st. Any suggestions as to what it might be??

ok...i talked to someone..he is one of our better techs. he said he hasnt heard of any issues on your model truck. he would recommend getting an ABS scanner on it. since its only when its cold, he thinks something is getting in there, like water, around somebraking sensor, and freezing..as the truck warms up...it thaws..and it frees up.

One more thought too, brake fluid expands greatly with heat and brakes generate quite a bit of heat, even with short trips.
Sooooooo, check it when it's really cold, before driving or starting.

Just a thought, you may have already done that.

When I had my old truck it would fit in the garage no prob. This one...well it's to big/long. The brush guard on the front makes it a tight squeeze even for pulling it in the garage to work on the front end. I'll check it when I leave work tonight. Sitting in the parking lot for 8 hours should cool it down enough.
