ebay throttle body

RE: ebay throttle body
Well I decided to mod my own throttle body. All it cost me was time and some cutting wheel for my Dremel. Here's some pics.
I did notice after putting it on that the truck shifts better. Has anyone else had that happen?
Well anyway, thanks everyone for the input. It saved me some money.

RE: ebay throttle body
did you grind out the inner barrels where the fins are? part of the fastman's biggest gain is that hemachines out the intake barrels as they taper from 50mm at the top to 48mm at the bottom. Expanding the barrels lets more air into the intake. Alot more if you drive a 5.9L and get a bore to 52mm.

RE: ebay throttle body
maybe its me but im confused. i thought a larger throttle body port was the diameter of the whole(s) the air flows thru? how can you only remove material at the inlet side and not all the way thru without removing the flappers. wouldnt this call for new larger flappers to accomodate the larger port? i dont see that has been done in your "custom" pic
