Default Installed my Intake---UPDATE WITH PICS

Installed my sweet intake from Option Racing today...not bad for $140, especially after I get a good filter for it. I still gotta put the heat shield on, so I am mostly done with the install...didn't have time to finish on my lunch break. I can tell a good difference in throttle response over the stock box for sure. I think it was good purchase...just wanted to share.

Before anyone does it, please don't give me the blah, blah, blah about air intakes and hot air sitting in the plenum, etc. I know this...notice I didn't call it a cold air intake... It out-performs the stock box = mission accomplished.[8D]

EDIT: Here is the final product...what do you think? I like it a lot...especially for the price...nice custom fit...heat shield seals nicely against the hood...really makes a big difference on the interstate...especially at WOT...she snorts pretty good...

I also looked in my plenum while I was at it...a little oil, but not too bad. I didn't think it was very bad, since it doesn't use much oil.

A little oil is normal. Pooling means there's a leak.

Why is a little oil normal? Unless your having blow-by from the PCV, there is no other place oil could come from into the intake, which would mean your plenum is leaking.

No. I've talked this over with a friend of mine who worked at a Dodge dealership. Some of the veterans of this board will concur that there's something about the set-up with these engines that a slight oil film in the intakes of the Magnum engines is normal. Even the Dodge TSB states that.
