T-case hard to engage into 4Lo
Hey guys, it's been a while since the last time I posted a thread. So here it goes.
I am having a hard time engaging into 4Lo from 4Hi on my T-case. It's been a while since the last time I used 4Lo, does anybody know how to fix this?
Maybe some WD40 on the linkages or something like that?
I'm going 4wheeling in about two more weeks, and it's mostly hill climbing through the woods with a more or less heavy load, I know I definitely will need 4Lo.
Any help would be very appreciated....

I read from some TSB that going in to 4lo is a process.
Its best to stop the truck, put it in to neutral, turn the engine off, wait 10 seconds, then shift in to 4Lo.
then start the truck and drive.
doing the same to take it out of 4lo.
I will look for the TSB and add the link here.
Edit:
Found it.

NOTE: Pausing in transfer case N (neutral) in vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission may require shutting the engine off to avoid gear clash while completing the shift. If difficulty occurs, shift transmission to Neutral (N), hold foot on brake, turn engine off, and THEN make the shift to desired mode.
I remember someone on here saying that they were having trouble and adjusted the shifter arm from underneath...no more grinding or difficulty engaging. Can't rememberin which threadI read it, but it wasn't that long ago... I just do what 98 posted above...
this is my first auto 4x4. my ranger, f-150's, and jeep were all manual shift and I could go in to 4lo if i was rolling really slowly... the first time I tried with my auto RAMI thought something was wrong with it.
I would like to do the manual hub conversion but the kit is sooo expensive, but you would get better mpg and less wear on the front end.
