Default 305/70/16 on 2000 1500

I need new tires, and was going to go with 285/75/16's and was just wondering if anyone ever ran 305/70/16's on a stock suspension 2000 1500?

You might can do it with wider wheels. I had 33x12.5x15 on a stock 97. I also had 15x10 wheels. I have a 2 inch lift on there now with 305/70/16's. I also have 16x8 rims. On tight turns, with a bump, they rub.

the diameter is the same, it's the width that causes the rubbing. With stock rims and lift you might have a problem.

Yea, diameter is same between the two sizes. 305 is 12 inches wide and 285 is 11.2 inches wide. That extra inch will cause the rubbing. I think 285's will fit. Try this link http://www.ntwonline.com/template.cfm?ID=8 at the NTWonline website. Check out the fitment guide.

Thx, I was thinking about a 2" block lift, and actually the 4.11 gears is also something I've been thinking about. Maybe this is the time to treat myself

Okay, maybe AFTER the holidays
