Wheel Sizes
Ok, Silver_Dodge, you've got me hooked. I'm not crazy about the one you specifically suggessted, but I like this brand you had. Check these two out, oh my god is all I can say. What do you guys think?? The black ones are quite a bit cheaper, but black rims have always really scared me, I had this same predicament with my neon, and I opted to go a little black with mostly chrome...hmm

I'm not crazy about those. To me they just don't look as great on lifted trucks as the bullet hole style wheels do. Another wheel I really like is the Weld Cheyenne. I think thats how it's spelled. They are probably a little out of your price range though unless you find a nice used set.
i think a set of mickey thompson classic II would look killer myself. but i guess thats because thats what i am running. but its your truck just make sure that you pick the wheels you like because at the end off the day its ur truck and more than likely not everyone will like ur choice so u might as well have what you like. but i think you have a great lookin truck any way you go
Well I guess since I'm pretty conifident I'll be tearing down the existing lift on my truck for now and putting her back to its offroad height, and putting 285s on her, I need some help with wheels. What's a wheel I can run that has low backspacing and will make the tires stick out extra wide? Also, I'd prefer this to be a wheel that I could later on use for a 35" tire when I redo the liftkit if that is possible. The main thing I'm focus on though is this wheel will fit a 285/75/17 tire. Since I am lowering the truck, I want to make sure the truck still has a cool touch to it with the wheels and tires sticking out past the fender flares. Can you guys help me find some wheels you would think look good on my truck in a 17" diameter that will fit well with a 285 sized tire that will make it stick out wide on the truck, but also be useable on a 35" tire later down the road. Hope that isn't confusing, but just want to make sure I'm happy when I take the lift off the truck while i wait to save up for a fabtech lift kit. Thanks as always guys.
I say go with the 10" width with the 4.5" or 5.5" backspacing. That way if you do decide to do a bigger lift and tires you will have a good size wheel to go with them. I though about those black rims when I was shopping for some, but the ones I got were better suited for me. I like those though and I think they would look good on the black truck. The chrome is nice too, but a little more pricey.
Now do you think a 285/75/17 tire will be able to wrap around a 10" wide wheel? Also, when I buy the wheel, does it tell you what kind of backspacing it has, or do I have to by my own spacers?
