Wheel Sizes
I've finally decided I will be getting new rims in the near future. I love the offroad editions, but they have a couple chips on the cirumferance of them from the previous owner, and I just like having things perfect. I think the size of the offroad rims are 17x8.5? That sound right? I wanted to know what size I should try and look for when looking for newer rims? I kind of want the rim to be wider so maybe the tires will still out just a little bit more. I like that 35/12.5/17 size, but wouldn't a wider rim make the tires stick out just a little bit more? Anyways, I just mean help me out with picking the right size in a 17 rim, how wide should I go. Thanks.
Any you guys are welcome to give me suggesstion with what looks good too would be a big help. I want the rims to be nice and shiny, yet look good on an offroad truck that tends to get muddy quite a bit.
Now here is a wheel I really like, and I think it would look really sweet in a 17" size. What do you guys think??

not quite sure I can help ya with what rim's to suggest, but I think the stock offroad rim is 17x8 as I recall. As far as the tire sticking out further, you can run the same tires you have with a different backspace and push them out or in. There are also a lot of sizes in the 16" variety that you could go to if your doing new rims. I wish ya luck!
or you can stack a few washers on each of the studs before you put the rim back on...
These are sick. The ones you want are all the way at the bottom of the list.

I wouldnt stack washers imho, if I had too id run spacers. And even if I had to run spacers I wouldnt.... (already did on another vehicle) Just extra hassel. I put longer studs on etc cuz I didnt research the right backspacing etc. If your buying a rim, find one that fits!!!!!!!!!!! Dont be half **** and buy the rim then worry about how your gonna put it on like I did. Measure twice, cut once.
I put these rims on and had to use a 1/4" spacer to pull the front wheel out so it didnt hit the upper control arm or w/e. Now when you cut the wheel on a right hand turn, the wheel scrapes on the fender. She needs new coils springs and she'll be fine. heck she needs leaf springs too, but that aint my problem any more

I had Silver_Dodge talk to Devils_Reject, and then Devils_Reject hooked me up.

If you're going to go with a wider wheel make sure you get one with better backspacing since you're already having trouble with rubbing on the control arms. 8" is wide enough for a 12.5 wide tire, but if you do get the 10" just make sure you get the extra backspacing to compensate. Plus with 10" wide wheels you can get 14" wide tires next time you get tires
