Can't finish my truck
Yet.
UPS lost a huge package from Hughes engines. I had my tune-up kit, o-rings, thermostat, housing and all kinds of little stuff in it.
I have most of my truck back together but this is a huge set back. No problems on Hughes end.
UPS is only telling me something about adverse weather conditions. We had a staorm on Wednesday, but what does that have to do with it? I even checked to see if any UPS trucks had crashed.
I figure that someone swiped it. My parents both work in managment at the PO and tell me it happens all the time.
Just stinks not to be able to finish.
I know I can't get a refund, but this stinks.

This happended with my Torque Converter from APS. He built me another and overnighted it out to me to make up for it.
I'm also waiting on my truck to be done as Summit sent me the wrong brake pads so now I have to wait for another set.

nolazach, I worked for an IBM dist for 9 years. You need to call Hughes and tell them you need a POD (proof of delivery) for your package. Until that package reaches you, it's Husges responsibility. In most cases the vendor will check with the carrier (UPS) and if the package is lost then Hughes should re-ship your order while they file a claim with UPS. Lost packages aren't the customers responsibility. Also in most cases especially with UPS only the shipper can inquire on the shipment. I think UPS is the best out there but they do loose things occasionally. I really don't think Hughes will leave you hanging but you have to let them know you haven't received the package yet. Jeff.
find out your UPS tracking number and use that to find out where it was last scanned. sometimes they just get sorted wrong, or delivered wrong. most things turn up after a few days. cool consumer goods are more likely to not turn up than car parts...

It made it through Rockford:-)
My tracking has it showing up In New Orleans a few days ago. It says "advers weather conditions" in the info box. I called customer support, not good to deal with. I may be biased but i like the way the Post Office does business better. UPS has a confusing way of answering questions.
My package is scanned and then not updated for two days. I emailed Hughes and told them, if they don't reply I am going to call back. This whole thing has me mad that I didn't just buy the stuff at NAPA.
A UPS truck came by today but it was for my neighbor. I always liked their tracking system, but I think its crazy how they can do this and blame it on bad weather and then not even be able to tell me where my package ended up.
Well I put a trace on it, maybe I will know something later.
