Default rocker panel protection

hey guys, im thinkin about coating my rockers in either rocker guard or bedliner, bedliner would be kind of expensive to buy, i can spray it myself becuase i can get the gun and what not. but rocker guard is easier and a significant amount less. what do you guys think. do you think that rockerguard will hold? i think im going to test it on the old scrap tempo in the driveway and see. i painted my inner wheel wells on the stang in rocker guard and it seems to hold. any opinions welcome, thanks alot guys! ps just got the fender flares deleiverd 1 hour ago

My truck has the rockers done in bedliner. Was like that when I bought it. It looks pretty good & seems to hold up well.

Do yourself the favor. If you don't have them, get some mudflaps. They help a lot too.

I just did some work on one of my 4 wheelers and coated the bed, floor, and bed bars with a 3M spray on bedliner that I got at Auto Zone. Comes in like a 20oz spay paint can and is easy to work with. It was about $8 per can and turned out to work really well. I am going to use that on my rocker panels when it warms up some. I think the key is prep.

deff +1 on prep I did my whole bed myself with herculiner roll on bedliner... the stuff is amazing just as good as the spray on jobs at about a third the cost. I dont know how much the rockergaurd is I never actually heard of it myself but I got a gallon of herculiner and the kit for about $100 and that did the whole bed. you would probrably be good with one or two of the smaller quart sized cans and just get a cheap roller for it.

I used the roll on herculiner bedliner

It works pretty good but it does not hold up to big rocks or pelting it with sh*t from the back tires. Im going to install some mudflaps on the back of my truck to get rid of this problem.

when I did my truck, I stripped the whole bottom of the truck to bare metal, and primered the sh*t out of it, then rolled on the herculiner

It was alot of work, but it seems to be holding up well, except for me doing donuts in gravel, that chips the hell out of it
