Hey guys i thought id post what i got and what my plans are for my truck...I bought a 97 1500 ext. cab sport 4x4 last month for 2000 bucks,it had a seized motor but it came with a brand new short block with mainly stock parts bored .020 over.The truck still had the complete seized motor that aparantley ran fine so i pulled the old motor out and tore it down and i took the heads down to get redone and they found out they were both cracked so i had to buy new heads(more on this later)The tranny and t-case were rebuilt last year with all receipts and the tranny has a shift kit,the rear end also has a locker the guy wasnt sure what the gears are but i will pull the cover off and check it out.The body is pretty rough but no rust just a few dents and lots of scratches some pretty deep.The interior was freakin horrible so i cleaned it up all nice and it looks great now.As for the heads i couldnt decide what to get for a while but i ended up ordering these http://www.hughesengines.com/partDet...amp;eTypeID=10 they say that those heads flow better than out of the box edelbrocks and blow away the r/t heads and there not a horrible price and i can put my stock stuff back on if i wanted to but i wont.

Headers probably a set of nice LT's
Not sure what size exhaust but i want a super 44 with dual out (i love the sound of 01dodgeram360's exhaust so something like that)
Electric fans
3" body lift for now i will go for a susp lift but im gonna wait abit
New rims and tires
Hood scoop
Fender flares (maybe)
Some kind of sub box
in dash tv with nav
Windwo tint

It looks like it has already been lifted. Scrach the volant and hood scoop for now. YOu will get better performance from a 25 dollar edelbrock air cleaner at autozone. it is the triangular one that has the foam element. It does not require you to bend the threaded bar to account for Holley not making it line up with the center. It net me better throttle response and 2MPG. It is the least constricting intake (air cleaner)you can get.
Ceramic coated Sainless steel headers. Edelbrock TES headers. i have em and love em. LOVE EM. Plus the bolt up to your stock cat (mine is gutted) all you need to do is get a shop to weld them. its fun drivingto the shop with basically open pipes.
GET THESE:
24# injectors, made by bosch. Ford motorsport blue tops. THese are new ones with DISC nozzles, not pintles. The will run you 329 plus shipping. THe listed for 349, but i asked him for a discount and he said the lowest he can go is 329. I received them in 2 days and cost 342 shipped. Talkto BRUCE.

--Yeah that is different from my sig, but they are the same thing. I ordered these after i burned the sig ones in my fire and needed new injectors and still wanted performance ones.
If you are adding heads and a cam, you need bigger injectors. I use them on my 5.2 and i still got 14.5 MPG. THe open element bumped it up from 12 MPG.
Bigger heads=more flow=more air, so you need more fuel. Plus if you decide a cam in the future, you will be set already.
