5.2L manual trans. What kind of fluid are people running? My trans is notchy as hell when cold but shifts smooth as butter onces warmed up. I wanna get some fresh fluid in there and see if that helps.

I think Chrysler has a "special fluid" for the NV3500 trans, but I don't know what is so special about it.
An alternative might be to use a synthetic 75w90 gear oil.
I also know people that will use ATF in the winter and a Hypoid gear oil in the summer.
Some other manufacturers use 5w30 engine oil in there manual trans.
So there are lots of options that may work

Mopar synthetic tranny fluid that is specifically designed for the NV3500 is all that is recommended by Mopar. Call you dealer to find out the actual part number for it.

That said,I use Royal Purple Synchromax in my NV3500. It makes the shifts much smoother and the whole tranny quiter. I also read several articles about it on line that it follows the ratings that the Mopar Tranny fluid has as well. You can get it at any NAPA but it isn't cheap, but neither is the Mopar crap.

I also use the RP Synchromax in the t-case and it makes it considerably quieter and it shifts very smooth compared to ATF.
