The front cover/timing cover on these engines can leak internally and/or externally. There is also a bypass hose under the accessory bracket that can develop pin hole leaks and spray long distances. If the front cover is leaking internally you will end up with coolant in your oil. In the picture you can see the bypass hose connecting the water pump to the intake manifold.

Just a word of warning here, if you still have the factory hose clamps get rid of them they will leak eventually. They do diminish in clamping pressure after time & especially if you open them to replace a hose. Use the standard stainless screw type hose clamps. They work fine on a new motor/fitting with no corosion & a new mopar hose but when the fitting has some pitting after a few years & a stiffer older hose or an aftermarket hose like the goodyear hoses which are thicker & stiffer than a new mopar hose they require more clamping pressure than the oem clamp can exert.
