I would check and see if you have any gasket leaks like valve cover or oil pan gaskets. It is also a perfect time for a tune-up, and a new cap and rotor.

OK I just ordered the plenum kit and intake gasket/ bolt set from hughes. What plugs, wires, etc. is recommended for a tune up? Thanks

Some of us run Autolite 3923's because they are 1 heat range cooler than stock, but the stock Champions work fine in my opinion. Purchase a good brass contact cap and rotor (I know NAPA in my area carries them), and install at least 8 mm wires and be sure to install cylinders 5 and 7 with the wires crossing at right angles and not touching. Our Magnum engines are notorious for cross-firing these cylinders.
