Default Tires for 2001 1500

Hello! I am curious as to what size tire i can fit under my 2001 Ram 1500. Right now i have 275-70-r17s. I'd like to replace the wheels with AR outlaws or AR 767s (15x10). And replace the tires with swamper trxus STS all terrains 33x12.5x15. Is this possible for a completely stock truck? Thanks!

Morning, I have also an 01 Ram and I currently have 285/75/r16's and they run Fine with just an little rubbing at max turning. One thing though if your completely Stock you might take a little performance hit and your gas will suffer. These are Big trucks and take good power off the line completely stock, but if you start adding Mods it should be fine, Might want to upgrade your stock gears, one thing I still haven't done yet but it's in the works.

Hope that helps,

DMan...

Make sure you test fit the rims before you buy them to make sure they fit. Some people have had problems with 15's rubbin on the caliper and had to grind a bit off of it.

You should also consider that 285's are 11.5" wide, not 12.5" wide. Also correct me if I'm wrong DGarmon, but he's running an 8" rim width as oppose to your 10" rim width which will also give it a wider stance. IMO if you don't get the proper backspacing your going to rub more than DGarmon.
