I just joined and am hoping to buy a ram 4x4quite soon

How does this truck look http://www.usedwinnipeg.com/classifi...ory=4x4-trucks?? Km's too high? price too high? Any input is welcome.BTW this is in Canada.

 

WAY over prices. Kely blue books says the truck is worth around 2,500. Does not say miles says "new transmation" since its a 95 and u can see that it has been run in the cold it has been pushed hard. I would say no keep lookin.

 

Price a bit high for the Km's. Never hurts to go look though. Better be near perfect for that kinda dough with a clean safety.

 

Welcome to DF! I agree with above, who knows what they did to the truck that made it need a new tranny. And who knows what may go next. Keep lookin.

If this helps you guys price what your selling/buying I just sold two of my rams...this is what they were and what they went for...and they were both up for sale for 6 months before they sold...$

$4500: 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 97k miles2x4 Single Cab long bedTwo Hitch Brake Control, 5.9l V8, Auto tranny, Tranny in great shape, truck in great shape except scratches in bed, new tires...no maintenance records (KBB excellent: $4,700)

$8800: 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 99k miles 4x4 Quadcab Shortbed 5spd V10 RKI Highside boxes, tow hitch, brake controller, push bar, running boards, super good shape, some scatches in bed, all maintenance records, bald-*** tires (KBB excellent: $10,500)

Keep inmind though that this is CA, but hopefully that helps in your pricing when you are selling/buying.

 

Ok, so if its minty it worth about 4100 USD. So in Canada probably about 4800-5000? As even though our dollars are all most the same, vehicles are still more expensive here.
Is the tranny being replaced, show the trucks been beat up or are those trannys just crap?

I have no ****ing idea what your canuck *** is trying to say. If you are talking about the ones I sold--they had transmissions in good shape...if you are talking about these trucks in general--they do tend to have problems in the auto trannys. Does his sentence make sense to anyone else????
