padodge lol, i didnt mean to sound like mr. serious, i just want to be sure my muffler is put on well, before i drive it back home. I dont want this muffler to be installed like my last one.
you will hear it for sure, but a good shop shouldnt ahve any problems, ive had a cat welded on in about 30sec. and it was flawless, so a good welder and installer you should have to worry about it. and the blue light is fun to watch but then you cant see anything else....
The flowmaster original 40 series sounds good. Usually the flowmaster mufflers take a few miles to get the full sound of the muffler. I also have a bad converter and it still sounds very good.
Well.. Welds Really Depend on what rig your rinning Tig, Mig, etc. etc... I would guess most shops use tig since its cheap and simple.. and a perfect weld is not smooth.. a perfect weld looks like you had a stack of nickels and you layed them over on one another.. should have a nice ridge and good spacing in between each stroke.. Needs to have a good thickness.. you will be able to tell if the rig was set to high or to low.. and if the gas mixture is correct. The reason you want it to look like a roll of nickels is because its what gives the weld its thickness.. hence making a better more durable weld.
