Correctly gapped plugs, fresh cap and rotor. They can wake up an engine that has been neglected in the maintenance department.

Changing the engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case, and front and rear diff. gear oil are simple things that help out greatly.

Why wouldyou need to do that?

The service manual calls for checking it/replacing as necessary at 30K intervals...

Just wondering why you do that...not a bad thing.

Wide (0.050) gaps on fresh sparksplugs with sharp edges
might be considered small but almost always adds torque

Balancing your eight cylinders
by having a fuel injector either slightly larger
(likely in cylinders 7 and 8)
or slightly smaller injectors (cylinders 1 and 2)
is worth considering

suspension alignment...particularly toe in
can add to performance and fuel economy

every psi you add to air pressure up to the 'optimum' for your driving style
increase fuel economy

As long as the PCV rattles, changing it every oil change is a waste of money and a fruitless effort.
