I think if you don't have shards of metal in your oil you don't need one...and if you do, you should be doing some engine repair. I don't know, man...I have heard mixed opinion about these things. If you want that one, Summit has it for $19.95.

id say that if there is metal getting through your filter (the stuff these magnets pick up) than its probably too small to worry about. these filters are meant to take the stuff out of your oil, and they have been doing the same thing for a hundred years... without these magnets. so why mess with something that already works. IMHO

I think if you had a race vehicle then yes, but if you start doing 0-60 times and all that in your truck, you're gonna be buying a new tranny. Close the stylintruck site and save your money for a fastman and some 1.7 rockers from southeastrt.[8D]

Go to the hardware store buy some magnets and duck tape and call it the day ....
