Building a new engine
So i got a hold of the old 360 that was in my truck before the motor. Its in 1000 peices, and i just got it on the engine stand and cleaned it all up. I wanna make this motor as fine tuned and have as much hp as i can. Ive been thinkin about borin it out but i have all the parts, no reason to spend 2000+ on a 408 stroker kit. Ive also had people tell me they dont work in a 95 model truck?
So anyway, what would yall do to the engine to max the hp?

Only reason I could think of that it wouldn't work in a 95 model truck is the computer limitations (as in no B&G or SCT etc flash)....but an inline "fooling" computer would work for that application. But chrysler sells a 406 stroker short block, for 2400ish, i'd think that it'd be a better starting point than a 360 that might need cleaning up/machine work (especially if you were considering the stroker)? get one of those, throw in a nice cam and an M1, maybe some 2.02 R/T cyl heads, long-tubes, 52mm throttle body, 26 lb/hr injectors or so, 1.6 roller rockers....oh wait, that's the motor in my dreams. throw all that onto a 360 and still do just fine.
If you go with a nice cam, the 1.7's aren't necessary. Cam provides the extra lift that the extra ratio would, but it's still nice to have the roller rockers. and there's lots of cams to choose from...mopar performance has a few, krc, etc...it'll depend on what you're wanting to build the motor for as far as which to choose.
edit: 1.7's AND a cam could cause valve/piston clearance issues!

You will have to get a computer friendly cam though, unless you want to switch over to carb. That would be so badass, a second gen with a 440 six pack[sm=badbadbad.gif]
