i thought the remote starters when you start the truck only stay running for like 5-10 minutes?

I didn't know that. Sounds like a good idea.

I heard its better to let your car warmup in neutral, that ur transmission fluid doesnt warm up too quick when in park. Only reason that would go "against" it, but wouldnt stop me from getting a remote control, im sure if u let it warm up enough in park it wouldnt matter.

Someone please correct me if im wrong, it is better to warmup in neutral, correct?

i have one of the commando remote starters on my truck. it works great on hot days here in san diego. you can run a relay to your power windows and use the trunk button to roll down your windows on hot days. i installed it myself about 2 years ago and haven't had a problem. if you want a really nice alarm system integrated with it (and you have the extra dough) i would check out viper products. they are more pricy but a really good system. best of luck.

I have a Hornet 570 remote starter/keyless system. works great, and I can start it from a good 300' or more, depending on whats in the way.

Yep. Gets the gears going and warms up the tranny more. If its in the negative digits, and I don't let my tranny warm up in neutral for at least 5 minutes, I can't get it to kick into OD. Only did that once, I learned my lesson.

Has anyone found a remote start without keyless or car alarm? The reason I ask is because I have manual windows, manual door locks....

I found this, but it still has keyless.
