ever since i got this truck it starts hard when it sits for a while. We had a mechanic do a code test and none of the codes were thrown. You have to turn the key and hold it for a few seconds or press on the gas to get the truck to start. After it runs for a while it's fine. Also does anybody know some good fender flares that just kind of accent the fender I don't want ones that stick out a couple of inches. Maybe and inch or less. Any help would be appreciated.

Truck is a 01 ram 1500 5.2 318

 

Bushwacker makes "Street Flares". That's what you're looking for.

 

check battery, starter, ground connections etc.

 

And if those are all good, I'd check (very last thing) the fuel filter in the tank.

 

Shot in the dark but maybe you have an issue with your fuel pump or filter....when you turn the key to "on" and pause can you hear the fuel pump kick in????? Also have you ever had the injectors cleaned????

for future: you have an 01' you can check for codes yourself.....just turn the key on off on off on-leave on and watch the Odometer for codes. If it throws a code post it on here and somebody should be able to tell u whatit means.
